The Norwalk CSD is supportive of the State’s efforts to obtain the specific technology needs of our families and students, including access to broadband internet and devices for remote learning. We encourage Norwalk families to participate in this Iowa Department of Education  Technology Survey so that the DOE can provide the State with essential information that will help prioritize and secure resources to support students and families in areas of the state with the greatest need.

The $26.2 million in federal relief through the Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER), which was just announced on June 1, focuses on providing and expanding broadband access and improving access to technology in other ways. We are asking one member per every Norwalk household with students K-12 to take this survey so that these funds can be used in the most essential way for learning. The survey will be open from June 3 to June 24. Thank you for your time and consideration in supporting this work.
