Dear Warrior Families,
Tonight the NCSD Board of Directors voted unanimously at an emergency Board meeting to follow Governor Reynolds’ recommendation to close Iowa schools through April 12, 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Here are some key informational items that go along with this decision:
Cadence Academy programs located in District facilities will be closed through April 12, 2020.
All school buildings will be closed effective immediately, this includes the track at the stadium. A plan will be sent out tomorrow directing staff and students how they can access critical professional and personal items.
The District Office will be staffed, but all doors will remain locked. Please call (515) 981-0676 extension 0 before visiting the District Office as the office may be closed with little notice.
All district activity/athletic practices are suspended through April 12, 2020. Mr. Lammers has sent information out to students, parents, activity sponsors, and athletic coaches regarding this decision.
The district will not be pursuing online learning for students at this time. Secondary students (grades 6-12) may take their Chromebooks home during this closure.
