Dear NCSD Warriors,
The Iowa Department of Education forwarded the below guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health to Iowa school districts at 2:38 pm today (Friday, May 14, 2021). The NCSD Board of Directors will be meeting on Monday, May 17 and a discussion about the current Return to Learn Plan and mask requirements are on the agenda. Until the board removes the current mask mandate in the district, all students, staff members and visitors to district buildings and facilities will be required to wear masks unless they have been granted a mask waiver. The district will send out information as soon as possible regarding any change to the district’s mask mandate. Masks will still be required on Monday, May 17.

This latest change in guidance provides us all with another opportunity to seek first to understand then to be understood and demonstrate kindness, care, and compassion for those who may have different opinions than our own.
