The Board of Directors of the Norwalk Community School District will accept bids for the sale of the following vehicle:

2005 Chevy Suburban

1500, 2-Wheel Drive

230,000 Miles (Approximate)

Condition: Fair, Bad Transmission

Interested bidders will be given an opportunity to inspect the vehicle at 2626 North Avenue (City of Norwalk Public Maintenance Bldg and Norwalk Schools Transportation Department). Please contact Carlos Guerra, Norwalk Schools Transportation Director at 515-981-0016, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday- Friday to set up an appointment.

This equipment/vehicle will be sold in current condition “as is” with no warranties, expressed or implied.

Sealed bids must be received at the Office of the Board Secretary, 380 Wright Road, Norwalk, Iowa 50211 by 2 pm, Friday, October 9, 2020. Due to COVID-19 conditions, bidders may fax a bid to 515-981-0559 or email to kbaldwin@norwalk,k12.ia.us by 2 pm, Friday, October 9, 2020. All bids must clearly indicate the bid price. The bid must also list the bidder’s full name, address, and phone number.

Pickup and delivery will be the responsibility of the buyer and must be completed within 10 days of sale (4 pm, October 19, 2020). Payment in full must be remitted to the District before pickup or delivery. The District will convey vehicle title at the time of sale.

The School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept bids deemed to be in the best interest of the School District, waiving any informality.

If not sold within 60 days of the date available for sale, these items shall be disposed of by the District in an appropriate manner.
