Keeping the Community Informed
The Norwalk Community School District has created this page in effort to keep students, staff, parents, and the entire Norwalk community aware of how COVID-19 is impacting our district. Please know that these efforts will be a work in progress and our district will make adjustments and improvements as needed.
Per guidance from the Iowa Department of Public Health, NCSD will treat COVID-19 similar to influenza and other common child illnesses. Students who believe they have been exposed to COVID-19 in or outside of school are not required to quarantine and should monitor for symptoms. Mitigation strategies and additional guidance can also be found in the NCSD 2021-2022 Return to Learn Plan.
The dashboard below has been created to provide parents with “at-a-glance” positive case information based on building and grade level which includes combined staff and student data. It will be updated once a week on Friday’s and timestamped. The dashboard is to provide current positive cases per building (either ‘0’, ‘1 to 5’ or the actual number if 6 and above).
