The Universal Constructs as Norwalk’s Student Learning Goals
While the Iowa Core Standards define what students should know and be able to do in kindergarten through grade 12, the Universal Constructs define the competencies and habits of mind that students need to develop for success in college, career and citizenship. In Norwalk, we believe these Universal Constructs are critical skills and enduring understandings that we must develop in every one of our students throughout our system.
